"Satan on his knees"
I recorded this song a couple of months ago, but I thought I'd share it with this community. I wrote it three or four years ago. Dani DeLuna programmed and produced. You can download it at the Andy's Tea Party Myspace.
Here are the lyrics:
I guess there must be something to seeing
still blindness is worth the love of a god.
I stare at the sun, but its light starts receding,
and a demon sits down to talk:
"Clytie, your savior, Apollo, the sun,
thought dying was braver. He gave me the gun.
And when I killed him, he willed you to me.
Don't worry my darling, I'll still give you heat."
Sometimes I find my way back to believing,
but common sense gets the best of me.
I step outside to postpone my sleeping,
and a shadow begins to speak:
"I'm sorry your savior, God's only son,
thought dying was braver. I took out my gun.
Now that I've killed him, you're left here with me.
With you in my pocket, I'll do as I please."
The devil himself knelt down to prey on me.
